A local restauranteur received a holiday miracle this week after a tearful plea to our community for help.

LA Rams offensive lineman, Andrew Whitworth and his wife Melissa have generously donated $50,000 to Inglewood's The Serving Spoon to help keep their staff employed through this challenging time.

Andrew Whitworth was signed by the Rams in 2017 and has since been a leader on and off the field. The Whitworths operate the BigWhit77 Foundation, a nonprofit that invests back into the community to impact area youth and families. In March 2020, The BigWhit77 Foundation donated $250,000 to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

Whitworth is currently on injured reserve following a knee injury in Week 10.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Andrew and the BigWhit77 Foundation in Los Angeles. A big thank you to him, his family, and team who were a huge part in our community's saving of a neighborhood institution.
